Besides the calibration of measuring equipment and instruments and the technical advise about dimensional metrology, at the Laboratorio Universitario de Metrologia (LUM) of the Universidad Politecnica de Cartagena, the needs of dimensional verification that could be presented by private companies and other entities that use to demand this type of services are also attended.

The services of dimensional verification that are offered by this laboratory comprise the verification of produced components, the verification of machinery elements, and the verification of machine tools and other devices, including the checking and/or deducing of longitudinal and angular properties, surface roughness, contour geometry, surface and localized defects, geometrical tolerances of straightness, flatness, parallelism, etc. or any other parameter that should be studied according to the specific demands of our clients.
